Summer has arrived!!!!

The very long winter has left us and we are beginning to see the sun again! Life on the lake is sweet! Many of you know we bought a boat this year in hopes of experiencing this beautiful lake..... Well it has been a long and difficult road to actually getting there. After 3 attempts of putting the thing in the lake and not being able to move around in it, we had to bring it into the shop each time. We have finally been able to enjoy all the things a water vacation has to offer! The kids are loving the cold water and actually so are Todd and I. We had the chance to be out all day yesterday tubing and sunning! We are really thankful, even more so now that it was a delay in gratification of what this area has to offer.

Todd has several weeks off this summer and we are just taking the time to be with our little family and relax. The kids are busy with soccer on mon and wed. Ashley has the wonderful opportunity to be involved in a girls only Homeschool group thru the summer. They will be learning how to be a true and loyal friend to other girls and proper etiquette rules. She has already had so much fun getting to know other girls.

Todd and I had the opportunity to run in the Grandma's half marathon this past sat. along with a buddy Todd went to Anesthesia school with (Adam). It was really fun and Todd did a great job! He made the 13.1 miles in 1:54! What a champ. He even worked a ton of hours all week and then did that. Amazing job. I however had not trained very much and had a bit of a knee injury the week before the race, so my time was a little pathetic... 2:42. Oh well, next time I'll do better. I had to walk a lot of it this time. Adam did great too. His time was 2:18 and he hadn't trained much at all. It was seriously one of the most favorite races we had ever done.... We are all planning to run and train for the Twin Cities 10 mile. Which will be in beginning of Oct. It is a little addicting.

Our plans for the summer include a ton of boating, skiing, tubing. We have family coming up for the 4th which should prove to be a blast! Then a wedding in July, also a blast we can't wait to get our groove on, well I can't wait anyway's, I think Todd will be in the watching crowd... We're hoping to have many more friends and family coming up here to relax and rejuvanate themselves for their lives back at home. Our home is an open door for those who need it!

We hope and pray that all of you are doing well and are healthy too. Have a fun and safe summer. Enjoy it while it lasts, for the snow will be back sooner than we all want it.....
